Graciela Magnoni

Graciela was born in Uruguay. She spent her childhood moving from country to country, from the still developing world to the already developed world and then back again. Her career began in the Brazilian Press, going from photographing for a small political newspaper to the more mainstream press. In 1990, she moved to New York and worked for a few Brazilian and Argentinian papers and magazines, covering the news. Moving to Singapore in 2003, she started to photograph on the streets there and also in many other cities around the region. She was especially enamoured with the cities and villages of India. Graciela has a BA in Journalism and an M.A. in Visual and International Communication from the University of Minnesota.
